Using Menus
Adding items to your website and app's menu will make sure that your customers have a positive browsing experience.
Step 1: Ensure the Menu is Presentable in the Foodics Console
Make sure that the menu you have uploaded to the Foodics Console is presentable for the end customers.
Make sure you do the following:
- Use localization (e.g. separate fields for English and Arabic).
- Upload images for all products.
- Use descriptions (optional).
Step 2: Syncing Your Menu to Foodics Online
FO Portal > Menus > Foodics Menu > Sync POS.
You can sync the data from the Foodics Console for it to appear in your customer-facing products, as per the steps below:
1. Click Dashboard.
2. Click Menu.
3. Select the menu.
4. Click Sync POS.
Hiding Menu Items
FO Portal > Menus> Foodics Menu
We generally do not recommend deleting; therefore, we made the hiding process very easy.
Items can be hidden by clicking the dark blue eye icon and by clicking it again to unhide it.
1. Click Dashboard.
2. Click Menus.
3. Click an active menu, like Foodics Menu.
4. Click Disable.
Editing Menu Items
FO Portal > Menus> Foodics Menu
You can edit items by clicking the light blue icon on the left.
1. Click Dashboard.
2. Click ‘Menus’.
3. Click an active menu, like ‘Foodics Menu'.
4. Click the ‘Edit’ icon.
Deleting Menu Items
You can delete items by clicking the pink delete icon in the middle. As mentioned before, we recommend hiding the items rather than deleting them.
1. Click Dashboard.
2. Click Menus.
3. Click an active menu, like Foodics Menu.
4. Click Delete’.
