Transfer Return
The transfer return is an inventory transaction that allows you to reject the transfer-receiving transaction and automatically return the full or partial quantity of the items rejected by the destination branch (Receiver Branch) to the source branch (Sender Branch).
Benefits
- Return the quantities of the rejected items automatically.
- When the branch rejects the transfer receiving, there are no outstanding inventory items.
- Maintain an appropriate stock level between the sender and receiver branches.
The new transaction transfer return will affect the following console reports.
- A transfer report that includes returned quantity and returned cost
- An inventory history report that includes a new transaction type for transfer returns
- An inventory control report with returned quantities and costs
- An inventory level report that balances sender and receiver stock levels
For example, if 10 GK of tomatoes are sent from the warehouse to branch1 by transfer sending, branch1 will be able to receive the full quantity, a partial quantity, or reject the entire transfer. A transfer return will be created from branch1 to the warehouse in this case. In branch1 you can receive the entire transfer return without editing or declining it by entering the reason for the rejection.
A Transfer Return has three statuses
- Pending
- Closed
- Declined
In the inventory transfers list, you can filter by the new transaction type transfer return.
The transfer return will show you the source and destination branch and the transfer receiving transaction as a reference.
A reason must be entered if you decline a transfer return transaction.
