Handling Gift Cards in Foodics Accounting

Gift cards can be managed in two ways:

1. Gift Cards as a Payment Method

• The gift card is added as a payment method in Foodics POS.

2. Gift Cards as a Product

• The gift card is enabled as an item within the product catalog and added as part of the order.

Impact in the Accounting System

The accounting impact appears in the Account Statement under account 401 (Gift Cards):

• Debit Side: Displays the orders where the gift card is sold.
• Credit Side: Displays the payments made using gift cards.
