How to Void a Product or Order in Foodics Black Cashier
Void is canceling a product or order as long as the order is active. Once an order is completed and paid in full, the order cannot be voided but only returned. The steps below will show you how to void a product and an order.
Void Products:
1. Select the product on the order to be voided. A mini menu will pop out under the product.
2. Click Void.
3. If the product has been sent to the kitchen, it will check if you wish to count the product as waste or not. Then ask for a reason.
4. Once submit the reason, the item will turn red to indicate that it has been voided.
Notes:
- If you only have 1 product in the order and you wish to void it, it will count as a void order not a void product.
- Normally the system will delete the product from the order. However, should the order have any of the following, then voiding a product will instead mark the product in red for void.
- Order must have no payment otherwise it will be marked in red
- Product should not have a discount otherwise it will be marked in red
- It was not sent to the kitchen otherwise it will be marked in red
- "Require Void Reasons" is not enabled in Manage > Settings > Cashier app otherwise it will be marked in red
Void an Order:
1. On the main page of the cashier app, Click Void Order.
2. Select if the products will be wasted or not. Then it will prompt the user to select the void reason.
3. The order is now void and cannot be edited. Click "New" to create a new order (Click here to learn how to create reasons).
In some cases, cashiers would click on New and take the new customer's order; however, this is wrong as the previous order remains active.
To close previous open orders.
1. Click on Orders.
2. Click on the Order to be voided.
3. Click on More then Void Order.
4. Select if the products will be wasted or not. Then it will prompt the user to select the void reason.
