Hold and Fire Products in Foodics Black Cashier

A cashier may need to send specific products to the kitchen before others. Hold & fire is a great feature to ensure customers can place their complete order and receive certain products before others.

1. Click on the Product.

2. Click " ⋮ " icon

3. Press on Hold

4. Select the Hold Condition (If you select a time duration rather than until fired, then a timer clock will appear and start counting down on the order. You can press Fire if you wish to send it before the timer runs out)

5. Click on Confirm

6. From the main screen click kitchen to send the product to the kitchen (except the hold product will not be sent).

7. Should you need to extend or reduce the Hold time, you can always press on the product > Hold > and select the new duration you would like to use. 


 

By default, the items that are put on "Hold" will not be printed in the kitchen to avoid confusing the chefs. However, should you want to print the "Hold" items in the kitchen regardless then you can go to Manage > Branches > Branch Settings > enable "Print On-Hold Items in Kitchen"
