Category Profile Deep Dive in Foodics BI
Dashboard Purpose
Use this dashboard if you want to:
- Track performance of specific categories across your business.
- Monitor net sales, quantities sold, discounts, and other key metrics at the category level.
- Compare category performance across branches or time periods.
- Identify top- and low-performing categories to make better product/menu decisions.
Note: A category must be selected before opening the dashboard for the data to display.
Common Use Cases

| How do I track performance of a specific category? | Apply the Category Name filter to focus on one or more categories. |
| Where can I filter overall performance for categories by time period? | Use the Business Day filter (e.g., This Year, Last Month). |

| How do I see which products are driving performance in a category? | Use the Product Name filter to drill into product-level data within the category. |
| How can I check the impact of discounts on a category? | Look at the Discounts metric after applying the relevant category filter. |

Metrics & Definitions

| Net Sales | Total sales revenue for the category (excluding taxes, voids, and returns) |
Here's a quick tutorial on how to use the Profiles > Category dashboard. You can add filters as needed, including Business Day, Branch Name, and Product Name. The Category Name filter is Mandatory !
