How to activate & connect your KDS with Foodics Black
Kitchen Display Screen (KDS) is a valuable tool that brings great benefits to your Fine Dining establishment. They provide:
- A method for your kitchen staff to read each order they receive in a clear manner
- Ability to separate which product to go to which section of the kitchen
- Ability to notify the waiter staff of a ready to serve order.
- Log and analyze the speed of your kitchen staff from the moment the order gets sent to the kitchen until it is ready to be served.
To Activate and Connect your KDS screen kindly:
- Go to your app store and download Foodics KDS
- Launch your KDS application
Input your Account number and Device code (You will find the device code in your console from Manage > Devices > Select the KDS you want to activate > The 5 digit numbers up on the top in green highlight
- Press Next and your KDS will be activated.
- From within the KDS go to Settings > Diagnostics and observe the IP address
- From the Main Cashier go to Home > Devices > Add device > Input the IP address > Select what order types should be sent to this cashier > Click save.
Warning: You are still not ready to send orders to the kitchen. There is one more step. - From the Device management screen on the cashier you will notice a button called "Products" in the KDS section. Press on it and select all the products you wish to send to this KDS device.
Now you have successfully added and connected your KDS to your main cashier.
