Understanding Kitchen Status in Foodics Black
The benefits of having a KDS screen in your Fine dining establishment is to be able to have a harmonious relationship between the front-end staff and the back-end Staff (Waiters vs Chefs). It allows all the orders to be clearly display their status of which stage it is at. Let us review them together.
When the order is Active, and not sent to the kitchen yet, it will look like below
Once you take that order and press on "Kitchen" Icon, it will send the order to the kitchen. It will now add a new status to the order visible from the order history page "Sent to kitchen"
The Kitchen Staff will be receiving their orders on their KDS looking like the following:
Once they press on "Bump" the order will change the status in Order history from Sent to Kitchen to Ready
Should you want to only bump 1 item from the list, simply double tap on the product name and it will changed to greyed out while the cashier will show "Preparing" status (Which means the full order is not yet ready only some parts are)
Should the customer change their mind and want to modify the order, the cashier user will do the update on the cashier then press on Kitchen to reflect it on the KDS where the order will show as Modified
Should the cashier void 1 product from the order, they will need to press on Kitchen so it reflects on the KDS (with a crossed out line)
Should the whole order be cancelled/voided, then it will automatically reflect on the KDS immediately showing the status as Cancelled with all products crossed out.
Courses will be displayed similarly in the KDS, and should the "Hold" Feature be utilized (And the settings "Print On-Hold items in Kitchen" also activated, then it will display them on the KDS with a countdown timer.
