How to install and activate KDS Physical Bump Device

In this guide we will explain how to install your KDS screen with the physical Bump device:

Requirements:

• KDS screen provided from Foodics
• Physical Bump buttons provided from Foodics
• Ethernet Cable
• Screw Driver

1- Take your KDS screen and flip it until you see the back. You will need to remove the following 4 screws to unlock the back panel

2- Connect the Ethernet cable, provided gray USB with the Bump bar device, and Power cable.

3- Turn on the device and let us go through the setup. First we will need to select the language of the device.

4- Next you will go to the Network Activation page, make sure to change from WiFi to Network. While Wifi is possible, network ensures far more superior connection stability.  You will need to make sure that the Status of the Ethernet shows as "Connected" before clicking Next

5- Click on Activate

6- Click on Start Config

7- Click on Enter the system

8 - A pop-up will show up, make sure you selection the keyboard before clicking Save

9- Click on the App Store

10- Click on Install for the KDS

11- Once the application is installed, open the application and input the F5 6 digit account number + the 5 digit KDS Code

12 - Once the device is activated you will see the following screen

13- Next you will need to connect the KDS with your Master cashier. To do that, click the triple lines on the top left and go to Diagnostics

14- Take the IP address, then from the cashier click on Home > Devices > Click on + > Select KDS > Input the IP address -> Select the order types and products to activate.

15- Next you will need to setup the Physical Bump buttons and what they do. For that you will need to click on the triple lines then go to "Controller settings"

16- Press on "Select here" to select the action you want to assign to a button 

17- Press on the actual physical button from the Bump device to assign it. 

Apply it to all the needed command buttons you wish to assign to the device and you are done!
