Creating Modifiers
Modifiers are additional options to a product, like Extra Cheese, Double Patty…etc., that cater to the different needs or tastes of customers and which the customer can ask for when ordering an item from the menu.
Important Note Before You Start
Please ensure that your user account has the required permissions in the Console before performing any actions related to Modifier.
If the Modifier Section Is Not Visible
If the Modifier section does not appear while attempting to manage modifier in the Console, this is usually due to missing permissions on the user account, especially if the user is not the account owner.
How to Check Permissions
To verify your permissions, please follow these steps:
Go to Manage
Select Roles
Choose the role assigned to your user account
If the Roles page is not visible, please contact the account owner to update your user permissions.
Required Permissions
Please make sure the following permissions are enabled:
Read Menu
Manage Menu
Once these permissions are enabled, the Modifier section will appear, and you will be able to manage modifier normally through the Console.
In order to create a new Modifier, please follow the below steps:
1. Click Menu.
2. Click Menu Builder.
3. Click Modifiers.
4. Click Create Modifier.
5. A pop-up window will open, fill in the Name and reference.
6. Click Save.
The screen will now be updated with the name of your new modifier.
After creating the modifiers, assign the related options for each modifier (Click here to learn how to create modifier options).
