Creating Gift Cards

Gift Cards are prepaid money cards that customers can buy as gifts to strengthen their social relationships by enabling the receiver of the card to order products and services from your restaurant equivalent to the stored amount of the card. The gift card is used after it is sold as an independent payment method for an unlimited number of times until the balance on the card expires.

Note: make sure to enable gift card payment method from manage - more - payment methods, press on gift card and set it to active then save.

1. Click Menu on the side menu.

2. Click Gift Cards.

3. Click Create Gift Card.

4. A pop-up window will open with the following fields:

• Name (obligatory field): Enter the name of the new gift card.
• Name Localized: Enter the localized name of the gift card in a 2^nd language of your choice.
• Category (obligatory field): Select the category to which this gift card should belong.
• SKU (obligatory field): Write a unique code for the gift card, you can also click Generate to get a random one.
• Pricing Method: Select whether you like to make a fixed price for the offered gift card or open for any other value.
• Price: If you selected a fixed pricing method, decide the amount equivalent to your gift card, where this amount will represent the balance of the card.

5.  Click Save.

The screen will now be updated with the name of your new gift card appearing in a table containing several columns as shown in the figure below. You will notice on the right (Arabic interface: on the left) a column called Active to indicate the status of the gift card and control its appearance on the menu.
