Creating Users
There are two types of users in Foodics: Owner and User, where the account in Foodics can be owned by a single owner who has full authority over all branches. Other users, on the other hand, can be assigned to specific roles and certain branches with specific privileges.
Users will have an optional email/password and PIN, where the user can use the password to login to the console and the PIN to log in to devices.
However, each user must have a unique email address to be able to login into the console.
1. Click Manage.
2. Click Users.
3. Click Add User.
4. A pop-up window will open with the following fields:
- Name (obligatory field): Enter the name of the new user.
- Language (obligatory field): Select the preferred interface language of the user from the dropdown list.
- Email: Enter the email to be used by the user to log in to the console. In case the user only uses the Cashier App, no need for an email.
- Password: Enter a strong password for the user.
- Login Pin: Write a unique 5-digit PIN for the user to be able to log in to the Cashier App. You can also click Generate to get a random and more secure one.
Remark: The user cannot access Apps unless you assign a Login Pin from either the Add User Form or Edit User Form.
- Display Localized Names: Check the box to show the products on the console and apps in the localized language of your choice.
5. Click Save.
The screen will now be updated with the name of your new user appearing in a table containing several columns as shown in the figure:
- Name: Name of different users.
- Console Access: Indicates if the user has access privileges to the Console.
- App Access: Indicates if the user has access privileges to the Apps.
- Roles: It lists the roles assigned to different users (created from roles section).
Remark: The user account in Foodics won't be ready until it is assigned to a role and a branch.
