Creating Order Coupons

The Coupon is a code you can create and share with your customers to get a discount when they later order from your restaurant. You can use a coupon to introduce new meals, attract new visitors, or encourage your clients to try a new delicious recipe that is more profitable to you.

Important Note Before You Start

Please ensure that your user account has the required permissions in the Console before performing any actions related to Coupon Management.

If the Coupons Section Is Not Visible

If the Coupons section does not appear while attempting to manage coupons in the Console, this is usually due to missing permissions on the user account, especially if the user is not the account owner.

How to Check Permissions

To verify your permissions, please follow these steps:

1. Go to Manage

2. Select Roles

3. Choose the role assigned to your user account

If the Roles page is not visible, please contact the account owner to update your user permissions.

Required Permission

Please make sure the following permission is enabled:

• Manage Coupons

Once this permission is enabled, the Coupons section will appear, and you will be able to manage coupons normally through the Console.

1. Click Marketing on the side menu.

2. Click Coupons.

3. Click Create Coupon.

4. A pop-up window will open with the following fields:

• Name (obligatory field): Enter the name of the new coupon.
• Coupon Type(obligatory field): Here we can distinguish between Order level coupon or product level coupon
• Code (obligatory field): Enter the coupon code that will be used by the customers. It must only contain numbers or letters.
• Discount (obligatory field): Link this coupon to a predefined discount  (Click here to learn how to create a discount).
• Maximum Uses (obligatory field): Enter the maximum amount of times this coupon can be used.
• Start Date (obligatory field): Enter the date when the coupon becomes usable.
• End Date (obligatory field): Enter the expiry date of the coupon when it cannot be used anymore.

5. Click Save.

The screen will now be updated with the name of your new coupon appearing in a table containing several columns as shown in the figure below. You will notice a column called Active to indicate the status of the coupon.
