Creating Promotions – Advanced Level

The promotion feature in Foodics is a tool that allows businesses to create and manage special offers, discounts, and deals for their customers. This feature can be used to increase sales, attract new customers, and encourage repeat business. 

Moreover, promotions can be set up in Foodics for different types of items, such as food items, drinks, or entire categories of products. Businesses can also set different types of promotions, such as buy-one-get-one-free, percentage discounts, or fixed-amount discounts.

Promotions can be set to run for a specific period of time. They can also be set to run only during specific days of the week or at certain times of the day.

To create an advanced promotion level follow these steps:

1. Click Manage on the side menu.

2. Click Promotions.

3. Click Create Promotion.

4. Fill the Basic Details of the promotion as follows:

• Name (obligatory field): Enter the name of the promotion.
• Name Localized: Enter the localized name in a 2^nd language of your choice.
• Start Date (obligatory field): Enter the date when the promotion starts.
• End Date (obligatory field): Enter the expiry date of the promotion.
• Start Time (obligatory field): Enter the time when the promotion becomes active.
• End Time (obligatory field): Enter the last time after which the promotion is inactive.
• Applies On Days (obligatory field): Enter the days on which the promotion can be used.
• Applies On Order Types (obligatory field): Enter the order types on which the promotion can be used (drive thru, pick up, delivery, dine in, …)
• Priority: Enter the promotion’s priority in case there’s a conflict with another promotion. 1 is the highest priority level, followed by 2, and so on.
• Include Modifiers: Check this box if the promotion applies on the product’s modifiers too.

5. Scroll down to the Promotion Details section and select the promotion type: Advanced.

6. Select the customer's action upon which the promotion will be activated:

• Buys Quantity: Works based on a minimum number of products required to activate the promotion.
• Spends: Works based on a minimum order value required to activate this promotion.

7. For the first option (Buys Quantity), fill the following fields:

• Quantity: Specify the minimum number of products required to activate the promotion.
• Products: Enter the name of the products for which the customer can get the discount.
• Select one of the three options.

8. For Get Discount on Order:

• Discount Type (obligatory field): Select the discount to be a fixed amount or a percentage of total order value.
• Discount Amount (obligatory field): If selected a fixed-type discount, write the amount of the discount to be applied on orders. If selected percentage-type discount, write the percentage discount to be applied on orders.
• Maximum Discount (obligatory field): Enter the maximum amount of discount in case of applying percentage-type discount.

9. For Get Discount on Product

• Discount Type (obligatory field): Select the discount to be a fixed amount or a percentage of total order value.
• Discount Amount (obligatory field): If selected a fixed-type discount, write the amount of the discount to be applied on products. If selected percentage-type discount, write the percentage discount to be applied on products.
• Maximum Discount (obligatory field): Enter the maximum amount of discount in case of applying percentage-type discount.
• Number of Products (obligatory field): Decide the number of products to get discounted if they all meet the promotion requirements.
• Products: Enter the name of the products for which the customer can get the discount.

10. For Pay Fixed Amount

• Fixed Amount (obligatory field): Select the fixed amount to be paid by the customer if he meets the promotion requirements.

11. For the other option of customer's action: Spends.

Fill the following fields:

• Amount (obligatory field): Specify the minimum order amount to activate the promotion.
• Products: Enter the name of the products for which the customer can get the discount.
• Select one of the two options.

12. Scroll the page upward and click Save Promotion.
