Creating Branches
A Branch in Foodics is one of the main configuration points in the system. Within a branch, the user can assign licenses, track sales and inventory transactions, manage tables, delivery zones, assign taxes, and much more.
Note: These steps can be done through the primary owner account and if there are enough branch licenses.
1. Click Manage on the side menu.
2. Click Branches.
3. Click Create Branch.
4. A pop-up window will open with the following fields:
- Name (obligatory field): Enter the name of the new branch.
- Name Localized: Enter the localized name in a 2nd language of your choice.
- Reference (obligatory field): Enter a unique ID number or code for each branch, or click Generate to give you a ready one.
- Tax Group: Select the group of taxes to be applied on this branch.
- Opening From: Select the starting hour of the business day in this branch.
- Opening To: Select the ending hour of the business day in this branch.
- Inventory End of Day: Select the time of day after which inventory transactions will be added to the next business day.
- Phone: Write the phone number of the branch that can be printed in the receipt or shown in API.
- Latitude: Enter the latitude angle of the branch’s location. For example, 24.78657.
- Longitude: Enter the longitude angle of the branch’s location. For example, 46.614142.
- Receipt Header: Add text you like to appear on top of the receipts of this branch only. For example: Welcome to McDonald’s Saudi, Al Waha Branch, Tel: 6502882.
- Receipt Footer: Add text you like to appear at the bottom of the receipts of this branch only.
5. Click Save.
The screen will now be updated with the name of your new branch appearing in a table containing several columns as shown in the figure:
- Name: Name of different branches.
- References: Unique ID or code of the branch.
- Tax Group: Group of taxes applicable to the branch.
- Created: Date and time of branch creation in the system.
