Creating Tax Groups
Tax Groups are used to group the tax rates into organized units that can be assigned to different items and branches.
1. Click Manage on the side menu.
2. Click More.
3. Click Taxes & Groups.
4. Scroll down to reach the Tax Groups section and click Create Tax Group.
5. A pop-up window will open with the following fields:
- Name (obligatory field): Enter the name of the new tax group. For example, country tax.
- Name Localized: Enter the localized name in a 2nd language of your choice.
- Taxes: Select the tax rates that belong to the group. A group can have multiple tax rates and you can also link branches and products to tax groups.
- Reference: Enter a reference number or code for reporting.
6. Click Save.
The screen will now be updated with the name of your new tax group appearing as part of a card collection, with each card containing the tax group name and the taxes which belong to the group.
After creating the tax group, must assign the tax group to the related branches (Click here to learn how to assign a tax group to branches).
