Applying a Discount to Order/Product

This guide will discuss on how to apply Discounts on Foodics Cashier.

How to add a discount to an Order level (The whole order).

Create the order first and proceed accordingly on the Cashier Application. 

1. Tap on the Discount button at the top options bar.

2. Select the type of discount.

• 1. Open Discounts: Means the amount is determined by the cashier user manually while taking the order. A discount can be based on a fixed cash amount (i.e.: Reduce by 20 SAR) or a percentage discount (ie: Reduce by 20%). For example, manually add a 50% discount to an order: Choose Discount > Percentage > Enter 50.
• 2. Predefined Discounts: A predefined discount is configured in the console by the manager as a fixed amount or percentage. To select a predefined discount, must create it on the console first. (Click here to learn how to create a predefined discount)

3. Enter the value in case of the amount and percentage discounts, or select the needed predefined discount name.

The discount details will appear on the customer invoice.

If there's a discount already applied, you will see a clear button you can choose to remove the discount from the order.

How to Add a Discount to a Specific Product (One product only)

Create the order first and proceed accordingly on the Cashier Application. 

1. Open the order (Orders -> Select order).

2. Tap on the product you want to apply discount on. 

3. Then Tap on Discount from the top options bar.

4. Select the type of discount.

• 1. Open Discounts: Means the amount is determined by the cashier user manually while taking the order. A discount can be based on a fixed cash amount (i.e.: Reduce by 20 SAR) or a percentage discount (i.e.: Reduce by 20%). For example, manually add a 50% discount to an order: Choose Discount > Percentage > Enter 50.
