The Guidance to Use Menu Groups
Menu groups are a great way to organize your menu items in Foodics. They allow you to group similar items together and make it easier for your cashiers to find what they're looking for.
A Menu Group can be different per cashier device and Call Center orders.
A group can contain subgroups, products, combos, gift cards, and products.
In addition, you must have one parent (main) group that comes under it all the subgroups and products.
Note: The Cashier Device will show the Parent Menu Group and all its Sub Groups if any.

Important Note Before You Start
Please ensure that the user has the required permissions in the Console before performing any actions related to menu group management.
If the Menu Groups Section Is Not Visible
If the Menu Groups section does not appear while attempting to manage menu groups in the Console, this is usually due to missing permissions on the user account, especially if the user is not the account owner.
How to Check Permissions
To verify the permissions, please follow these steps:
Go to Manage
Select Roles
Choose the role assigned to the user account
If the Roles page is not visible, please contact the account owner to update the user’s permissions.
Required Permission
Please make sure the following permission is enabled:
Read Menu
Manage Menu
Once this permission is enabled, the Menu Groups section will appear, and menu groups can be managed normally through the Console.
To establish your menu groups, follow these steps: (A hyperlink that provides a details explanation is available for each step) :
1. Create menu groups (Click here for more details).
Create your main group and all sub groups.
2. Adding Sub Groups to Groups (Click here for more details).
Based on the hierarchy of the menu, add the sub groups to the related groups.
3. Adding Products to Sub Groups (Click here for more details).
Add the related products, combos, or groups to the sub groups.
4. Sort Products Inside the Menu Group (Click here for more details).
Drag and Drop the items inside the group. The new layout will be saved automatically.
5. Assign a Menu Group to a Cashier/Sub Cashier Device (Click here for more details).
Assign the parent menu group to the cashier device since the cashier will show the parent menu group and all its Sub Groups if any.
6. Sync data on the cashier app (Click here for more details).
Sync data can be done easily through a few steps. it is essential to reflect any update from the console on the cashier app.
Remember, the Cashier Device will show the Parent Menu Group and all its Sub Groups if any.
