Steps to Define Sales Tax
Taxes are calculated for each product, combo, or modifier option, and charged separately. You start by creating tax rates applicable to various items based on local laws, then group them into suitable Tax Groups. You can assign a Tax Group to individual entities and to branches as well.

3- Assign tax group to branches (Click here for more information about assigning tax group to a branch).

5- Assign tax group to modifier options (Click here for more information about assigning tax group to modifier options).
6- Determine whether the prices are tax inclusive/exclusive.
(Manage > more > settings > General > Tax Inclusive Pricing)
Activating Tax Inclusive Pricing means the prices of menu items and charges include the tax amount already.
Deactivating Tax Inclusive Pricing means the system will add the tax on top of the prices.
