Counter-Top Kiosk: Setup & Troubleshooting
The steps to setup and troubleshoot the Foodics Counter-Top Kiosk.
Step 1: Complete Foodics Online Account Setup
Complete the Foodics Online onboarding process:
1- Sync Menu and locations.
2- Add Banners (Screen Saver).
3- Create a kiosk app.
4- Set the order type as Eat-In.
5- Change Colors, ‘Primary Color’ and ‘Button 1’ are mandatory.
6- Add the logo in the concept settings.
Step 2: Create a Kiosks Device
FO Portal > Kiosks > Create Kiosk.
1- Click Dashboard.
2- Click Kiosks.
3- Click ‘Create Kiosk’.
4- A pop-up window will appear with the following fields:
- Enter Kiosk Device Name.
- Select Location.
- Select Device.
- Enter Printer Manufacturer.
- Enter Receipt Mode.
- Enter Printer IP address.
- Enter Card Payment Terminal Manufacturer.
5- Click ‘Save’.
Checklist:
1- The first part of Foodics Online onboarding must be done (e.g., menu, branches, setup).
2- The device type should be counter-top in the drop-down list.
Step 3: Create Username and Password
FO Portal > Employees > New Employee
1- Click Dashboard.
2- Click Employee.
3- Click ‘New Employee’.
4- A pop-up window will appear with the following fields:
- Enter ‘First Name’.
- Enter ‘Last Name’.
- Enter ‘Username’.
- Enter ‘Password’.
- Enter ‘Employee ID’ (optional).
- Enter ‘Email’.
- Enter ‘Mobile’ (optional).
- Select ‘Roles’.
- Select ‘Locations’.
5- Click ‘Save’.
Checklist:
1- It is recommended to set the role as ‘Administrator’.
2- The password must include letters and numbers.
3- The email does not need to be verified.
Step 4: Download Foodics Kiosk App

Download the Foodics Kiosk application by clicking the link below or searching 'Foodics Kiosk' in the App Store:

Step 5: Sign in and Save
On the Foodics Kiosk App
Checklist:
1- Make sure all devices are connected to the same network.
2- Payment Device: Select the payment device Foodics Pay (Network).
3- Foodics Device IP Address: Add IP address.
4- Kiosk Name: Check the selected kiosk device if there is more than one device.
5- Receipt Mode: Select the printer type, for example, ‘Epson’.
6- Printer IP Address: Add the printer IP address.
7- Test the printer and allow the app to send data over the network.
Step 6: Configure Foodics Pay Network
Foodics Pay Support Team
Make sure that the Foodics Pay team has configured the device to allow the network integration.
Step 7: Test the Order Cycle
Complete at least one successful order cycle:
A green POS label indicates that the order has reached the RMS cloud successfully and that there are no issues with the iPad.
Step 8: Troubleshooting
Issue 1: The IP address does not show:
1- Connect a personal hotspot.
2- Restart the Foodics Kiosk application.
3- Change the network back to the store’s WIFI from the Control Center without leaving the Foodics Kiosk application.
4- The IP address should show.
Issue 2: The iPad and printer are using a sub-network:
Touch the prefilled IP address (first part) to edit it.
Issue 3: The IP address resets to 0.0.0. after restarting the application:
1- Limit IP Tracking should be off.
2- Private Address should be off.
3- Restart the application.
Issue 4: The app is not allowed to connect to network devices
1- Add printer IP address and test the printer.
2- Allow to connect to devices via the network.
3- Restart the application and repeat.
4- Delete the application and redownload if the issue persists.
