Comprehensive Guide to Use the Waiter App
Logging In and Navigating the Tables Page:
Upon opening the Waiter App, you will be prompted to enter your login pin, ensuring secure access to the app. Once authenticated, you will be directed to the tables page. Here, you can select the table where the customers are seated. Additionally, you can input the number of guests accompanying them. When ready, click on the "Start Order" button to proceed.
Ordering Process:
After initiating the order, the menu page will be displayed. From here, you can easily browse the menu and select the desired products that the customers wish to order. If necessary, you can add notes to the order to provide specific instructions or preferences. By clicking on the "Manage" option, you can access additional functionalities such as holding a product, voiding a product, or applying a discount. Once you have finalized the order, click on the "Done" button.
Viewing and Sending Orders:
To review the entire order, click on the "View Order" button. If everything appears correct, you can send the order directly to the kitchen by clicking on the "Kitchen" option. This ensures that the chefs and kitchen staff promptly receive the order details and can begin preparing the meals.
Managing Orders and Making Adjustments:
By selecting the "Manage" option, you gain access to a range of order management tools. Here, you can add notes to the order, print the check for the customers, void the entire order if necessary, apply discounts to the entire order, or add additional charges as required.
Processing Payments:
Once the customers are ready to pay, click on the "Pay" button. This action will direct you to a payment page where you can choose the preferred payment method. After selecting the appropriate method, click on the "Pay" button to complete the transaction. A photo of the receipt will be displayed, allowing you to print it if needed.
Exploring Additional Features:
To access additional options and settings, click on the horizontal lines icon in the upper left, which will open a list of available features. From here, you can view previous orders, access the menu, and adjust settings according to your preferences.
Settings and Device Management:
Within the settings page, you can utilize several essential features. The "Device Diagnostics" tool provides valuable data about the app's performance. To synchronize data with the console, click on the "Sync Data" option. Moreover, you can open or close the cash register (till) directly from the app. In the "Manage Device" section, you have the ability to add a payment terminal or a printer. For adding a printer, select "Add Device," choose "Add Printer," and then specify the printer model, name, and IP address.
Split orders:
Waiters will be able to Split their active orders into as many receipts as needed.
Once an order is created, from the Order Summary screen click on “More” --> “Split Order”. Users can now drag and drop items from one order to another.
This feature is only available for Waiters with authority to Split an order. So make sure to enable authority for your users through the Console.
Tip Management:
Allowing Waiters to receive Tips is essential to dine-in business. Now with every payment Waiters can receive Tips from their Customers.
To access this feature, users should first enable Tips from Console through Manage --> Settings --> Cashier App Settings --> Enable Tips
Once the feature is enabled, when Waiters Proceed to the Payment screen, an “Add Tip” drawer will show for Waiters to add the Tip amount needed.
