Creating Modifier Options
A modifier option details the characteristics of the modifier. It allows you to offer a wide range of selections that suits the desires of the majority of your audience across age groups, health concerns, and taste preferences. For example, a sauce might be a modifier with options as Mayo, hot sauce, and barbeque sauce.
Note: it is mandatory to create the related modifier before adding the modifier options (Click here if you have not created a modifier yet).
In order to create a new Modifier Options, follow the below steps:
1. Click Menu on the side menu.
2. Click Modifier Options.
3. Click Create Option.
4. A pop-up window will open. Mandatory fields are marked with a red star ().
- Name (obligatory field): Enter the name of the option.
- Modifier (obligatory field): Choose the modifier of this option (Click here if you have not created a modifier yet).
- SKU (obligatory field): Write a unique code for the option, you can also click Generate to get a random one.
- Price (obligatory field): If you selected the fixed price method, enter the price here.
- Tax Group: Select the tax group to which this option should belong to (Click here if you have not defined the tax yet).
- Costing Method: Select whether you prefer the cost of this option to be calculated. automatically based on the cost of its ingredients or you want to assign a fixed cost for it.
- Calories: Enter the calories contained in this option.
- Name Localized: Enter the localized name in a 2nd language of your choice.
5. Click Save.
The screen will now be updated with the name of your new modifier option showing the name of the Modifier it belongs to.
